Spring concert series announced

See the very best emerging musicians in a series of spring concerts which run from 1 Feb until 25 May.

From Beethoven’s ‘Kreutzer’ Sonata to reimagined classics, there is something for everyone in our five 60-minute concerts which take place from February to late May.

Ambleside Parish Church and Ambleside Parish Centre play host to our series, plus a special performance at Holker Hall complete with a guided tour of the house.

We launch our series with the wonderful Akiko Saxophone Quartet at 1pm on 1 February at Ambleside Parish Centre, followed by an incredible array of international talents in the months to come.

The series culminates in a community Day of Brass at Furness Academy, Barrow-in-Furness on Friday 25 May, topped-off by a unique celebrity performance from star trombonist Peter Moore.

We hope you can join us to enjoy classical music from the next generation of exciting talents in our wonderful Cumbrian surroundings.

Nick Hardisty, Operations Director Lake District Music, said: “We are delighted to invite some of the best emerging artists to play concerts across Cumbria this spring. These young musicians are of the highest calibre and will wow audiences with their expert playing.”
