We are committed to protecting your privacy. We will only use the information we collect about you lawfully and in accordance with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which the UK government has adopted and which will continue to apply after Brexit.
For the sale of tickets we use the Provenue platform provided by the company tickets.com, and for storing and sending out emails we use the company Mailchimp. Both are based in the USA, though they do extensive business in the UK. Both are certified under the EU-US Privacy Shield, which has been negotiated to ensure the security of your data to the standards of the GDPR. You can find these companies’ privacy policies at https://provenue.tickets.com/privacy-policy/ and https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/
The information we collect about you will include your basic contact details (name, postal address and postcode, email address and telephone number). We may also ask for your consent to receive marketing material from us either by post or email.
If you are a customer (eg. if you buy tickets to events organised by LDSM) we will keep basic contact details for use in relation to your purchase (eg. if any problem arises relating to the purchase, or if an event has to be cancelled). If you give us your credit/debit card details when you buy tickets, we will destroy them as soon as the transaction is completed. We will ask for your consent to receive marketing material, and we will only send you such material by email if you have explicitly consented. You may withdraw your consent at any time, by contacting LDSM. We may also send you marketing material through the post, since this is permitted under GDPR on the grounds of legitimate interest. We will never disclose your details to third parties unless we have your consent. We erase customer data after 7 years if, during that period, no tickets for LDSM events have been purchased.
If you are engaged or employed on a contract with LDSM, or otherwise work or volunteer for LDSM, we will store your contact details for use in matters directly relating to your contract or work. We will not send you marketing material by email (unless you are also a customer and have consented to receive it). We will never disclose your details to third parties unless we have your consent.
You have the right to access your personal data held by us, to check their accuracy and rectify them if they are incorrect, or to have them erased from our system. To do so you should contact LDSM.
