From matrimonial love to sibling devotion... ‘Bei Männern, welche Liebe fühlen‘ is Pamina and Papageno‘s paean to matrimonial love from Mozart‘s The Magic Flute, exquisitely reworked by Beethoven. Toby‘s Fantasy was composed for Guy and his fiancée, while both Mendelssohn and Grieg‘s works were composed for their amateur cellist brothers. Beethoven‘s discarded movement from the ‘Waldstein‘ Sonata gives a solo interlude with Melvyn Tan in his first appearance at LDSM.
