Guy Johnston, another ISMA alumnus returning to us for the first time, joins his brother Magnus‘s quartet for a pinnacle of the chamber music canon. Following Toby Young‘s highly popular Berkeley Ensemble work at LDSM 2017 and the serendipitous discovery that he was a bassoonist in his youth, he was the natural choice for LDSM‘s 2018 commission for a work to conclude our spotlight on the bassoon, with Catriona joining the Navarras to bring it to life.
