Celebrating all things floral, this late-night concert of unaccompanied sacred and secular choral pieces marks the 450th anniversary of Monteverdi’s birth with a selection of his madrigals, together with part-songs by Holst and Finzi, non Papa’s Marian motet Ego flos campi and Lassus’s Veni in hortum meum. The 45-minute programme will be introduced by members of this local group, recent finalists in the Choir of the Year category of the Cumbria Life Culture Awards 2017.
