Written ‘at 40' in 1810 Beethoven's dramatic Archduke trio is placed between Schubert who met Beethoven only once at the end of his life. Join Trio di Parma in what has to be perhaps the most spectacular location of any arts venue in the world, nestling as it does between the Lakeland fells and Derwentwater. The lake is a popular destination for fishermen seeking the trout within its clear waters, making the theatre surely the most perfect setting for Schubert's ever-popular quintet.
