After her sell-out recital last year, violist Yuko Inoue's morning recital also welcomes Carole Presland back to LDSM. Bach and Brahms frame three remarkable UK composers with the special voice of the viola at the heart of their works.

Winner of the 17th Budapest International Viola Competition, Yuko Inoue has performed as soloist throughout Europe and Japan with many orchestras, including the Hungarian State Philharmonic Orchestra, Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the Hallé Orchestra and the Netherlands Chamber Orchestra and with such eminent musicians as Gidon Kremer, Sir Charles Groves, György Pauk, Jean-Jacques Kantorow, Heinrich Schiff and Thomas Zehetmair.
Carole Presland studied with Renna Kellaway on the Joint Course at the RNCM and the University of Manchester. Postgraduate scholarships enabled her to work with Andras Schiff at the IMS Prussia Cove and with György Sebőkat masterclasses in Amsterdam. Carole has performed throughout Europe, the Far East and the USA and at festivals such as Aldeburgh, Bath and Harrogate. As a concerto soloist she has performed repertoire ranging from Mozart to Martin. She has broadcast regularly for Radio 3 and frequently abroad.
