An exciting and entertaining evening in the company of the 18th Century Concert Orchestra giving a dramatized history of the life, compositions and discoveries of the Father of Modern Astronomy. Performed on authentic instruments in full 18th century costume, with all the elegance of the period, the concert also features works by composers with whom Herschel had links including Charles Avison, Thomas Linley and Joseph Haydn. Narrated by renowned astrophysicist Dr Andy Newsam, this is a great family event.
