Aurélien Bouly comes to LDSM from his home in Paris. A master of the Django style now known as gypsy jazz, he has performed across the world alongside other stars of this style. Joining Aurélien for this concert, Ewan Bleach and Will Scott are multi-instrumentalists who have cut their teeth performing and working to capture the authentic sounds of the 1930s. This has resulted in two of the finest players around, playing harmoniously together with a fluidity and passion. Supporting our Bechet-Reinhardt rendezvous will be London-based rhythm guitarist Tim Ellis, a man who has the Django style 'la pompe' running through his veins, and David Miles on bass, who has performed across Europe with some of the finest gypsy jazz guitarists.
