Tom Poster Piano

Tom Poster studied with Joan Havill at the Guildhall School and at King’s College, Cambridge. He features regularly on Radio 3 as soloist and chamber musician, has appeared several times at the Proms, and is in demand at festivals from Cheltenham to São Paulo. He won the keyboard section of BBC Young Musician in 2000 and First Prize in the Scottish International Piano Competition in 2007. He has performed concertos from Bach to Ligeti with the Aurora Orchestra, BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony, China National Symphony, Hallé, Philharmonia, RPO and Scottish Chamber orchestras, and he is founder and artistic director of Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective, pianist of the Aronowitz Ensemble (former BBC New Generation Artists) and Aronowitz Piano Trio. Tom’s chamber music partners include Alison Balsom, Ian Bostridge, Steven Isserlis, Guy Johnston, Matthew Rose and Elena Urioste.
