Carole Presland studied with Renna Kellaway on the Joint Course at the RNCM and the University of Manchester. Postgraduate scholarships enabled her to work with Andras Schiff at the IMS Prussia Cove and with György Sebőkat masterclasses in Amsterdam. Carole has performed throughout Europe, the Far East and the USA and at festivals such as Aldeburgh, Bath and Harrogate. As a concerto soloist she has performed repertoire ranging from Mozart to Martin. She has broadcast regularly for Radio 3 and frequently abroad.

She was invited to join the keyboard faculty of the Purcell School in 2007 and, shortly after, the Royal Academy of Music, where she currently teaches, combining this with her role as Senior Tutor in Keyboard Chamber Music at Guildhall School of Music.
Carole has coached chamber music for Pro Corda and the Benslow Music Trust and for several years was a member of staff at the Yehudi Menuhin School. Carole has enjoyed a long association with LDSM as student, coach and Artist-in-Residence, most recently appearing here in 2017.
