Activities at the 2007 Young String VentureBuild confidence & aural awareness

Playing chamber musicdevelops aural awareness and teamworking skills. In the supportive environment of the Children’s Workshop the confidence of each individual is nurtured by friendly tutors through a range of activities.

Make new friends. Play Chamber Music

This course is specially designed to introduce young string players to performing in small groups. Guided by specialist tutors children have fun learning new skills and making lasting new friendships with other young musicians from across the country, and beyond!

Develop the inner musician

  • CHOIR singing develops the 'inner ear' and pitch sense in the instrumental musician.
  • DALCROZE instils good rhythmic skill and awareness of tempi.
  • MUSICAL GAMES keep minds alert and encourage fun.
  • ORCHESTRA brings thecommunity together andconsolidates core skills.
