Tributes paid to the life of Roger Bigley, former LDSM Artistic Associate and Artistic Director

Tributes have been sent from across the world in tribute to the life of Roger Bigley, a long time violist and tutor, and Artistic Director at Lake District Summer Music from 1996 to 1998, who died on Sunday 9 June after a short illness.

Lake District Summer Summer Music this summer launches Splash Classics - a new series of free Pop-Up concerts which will take place in the immediate run up to and during this summer's International Festival.

Lake District Summer Music has released an initial list of the international soloists and ensembles who will be appearing at their International Festival this summer between 3 and 17 August 2013.
