Discovering Music

Beethoven Early & Late

Beethoven’s first and last cello sonatas are contrasted in this special event in collaboration with this popular BBC Radio 3 programme. Stephen Johnson leads the way with live musical examples played by Colin Carr and Thomas Sauer. A great way to introduce the Complete Beethoven Cello Works being performed by these two renowned musicians during their residency at LDSM in 2008.
